Hardwood and Softwood

We can provide both mechanized and manual harvesting methods, depending on requirements.

All our operatives are fully certificated, experienced and insured hand cutters. We can deal with coppicing and harvesting.

We also have an 8-tonne steel tracked excavator equipped with a Keto harvesting head, capable of dealing with both chestnut coppice and single stem hardwood and softwood up to a diameter of approximately 12-15 inches (300 – 375mm). This is a much safer method of operation when dealing with windblow or Ash die back (for instance).

Using a Valmet Tractor and Botex Trailer-Crane combination, we can extract timber to roadside. This combination is capable of moving both cordwood and large timber.
